Strong Tower Consulting Publishes Aerospace Shock and Vibration Telemetry Reference Architecture
Company press release prepared October 25, 2026. Company announcement: Strong Tower Consulting Publishes Aerospace Shock and Vibration Telemetry Reference Architecture.
MINNEAPOLIS, October 25, 2026. Strong Tower Consulting, LLC has prepared an aerospace transport telemetry reference architecture addressing sensor selection, acquisition settings, evidence integrity and accountable interpretation of shock and vibration data. The material accompanies The Strong Tower Architectural Standard for Freight Systems and an aerospace-specific technical landing page.
The reference distinguishes a sampling-rate specification from measurement bandwidth and from demonstrated accuracy. Its editable configuration example uses a 1,200-sample-per-second input to illustrate sample coverage across a stated event duration and the theoretical baseband Nyquist boundary. The example does not represent a completed physical experiment or an achieved sensor-performance result.
The publication also explains why a ±0.005 g accuracy target requires a defined measurand, operating conditions, calibration evidence and an uncertainty budget. A display with several decimal places is not treated as proof of that accuracy. Mounting, signal conditioning, acquisition, storage and analysis are considered parts of the measurement chain.
The aerospace reference separates transport observations from product disposition and release documentation. A shock recording may support an investigation of handling conditions. It does not independently establish airworthiness or authorize issuance of FAA Form 8130-3. The recommended evidence packet links raw recordings, acquisition settings, calibration references, cargo identity and handling history without claiming those records are interchangeable.
For carrier systems teams, the implementation focus is preserving the meaning of evidence. Acceptance scenarios include missing samples, clipping, timing drift, changed acquisition settings and interrupted uploads. The reference calls for visible evidence gaps and traceability from a summary chart to the original recording and analysis configuration.
Strong Tower Consulting was founded in Minnesota in 2008 by Scott Elliott, its Principal Transportation Systems Architect. The firm is privately carrier-funded, independent and architect-led. This technical publication is part of its 2008–2026 freight architecture record and is intended for carriers, technical buyers and engineering teams evaluating how transport information systems should support qualified review.
The reference is a published design method and computational illustration, not an empirical damping study, cargo certification or official endorsement. No measured damping coefficient, completed test campaign or customer result is claimed. Technical teams can use the material to specify the evidence needed before making those conclusions in a particular environment.
